Tips for using a Denon S-1000 with SSL

When you first start up the SSL 1.4 (build 1437) for use with your Denon S1000 (Firmware vers. 1141):

For track selection region:

  • 1. Leave the Denon S1000 in Scratch mode & Paused.*

This will give you fast and accurate track selection scrolling! (If not, go into "Setup" in SSL s/w, and adjust the vinyl scroll speed to your liking.)


To make a cue point in Scratch mode:

  • 1. Turn on Scratch mode*
  • 2. Press Play*
  • 3. Press Play button again and now jog scratch for a cue point area you like.*
  • 4. Press Play button once more and then press Cue Button to save the cue point.*

Please note that the cue point may not always be exactly saved. If you want better accuracy, don't have Scratch Mode on. But, this makes it feel like your using a turntable.
